In depth

Verdict

The formbook suggests those with form are vulnerable. As always, the market should prove instructive with the newcomers, of which Nicky Henderson, so effective in bumper contests, unveils RUSSIAN RULER, a son of Sholokhov, and Surrey Quest. Jockey bookings indicate the former is the stable preferred, although the latter, as a son of Milan, also makes appeal. Tom Scudamore is a nice booking for Princess Kalamba and she makes some appeal on paper being out of a Presenting mare, whilst Moveit Like Minnie and C'mon Sharpy are other debutants to note.
