In depth
Verdict
Bobsleigh can outstay his rivals here, including Keepers Mead, Roky Star and Fullards. Most of these have had their limitations exposed already, so it might be worth taking a chance on Bobsleigh who stayed on to good effect over three furlongs shorter behind Jalou d'Estruval at Plumpton 10 days ago. An out-and-out stayer for Amanda Perret in the past, he was having his first outing since August when turning out at Southwell on New Year's Day on his first start for Hugh Morrison. Successful at Plumpton in January last year, he made an encouraging enough return to the obstacles at the Sussex track last time, and over this longer trip, should come into his own. Roky Star was all out to gain his first win in three years at Fontwell and as that was certainly nothing special, is worth taking on. Keepers Mead has kept good company in the past, but has not really progressed. However, he has not had a lot of racing over the past few months and so despite his weight, should be kept on the right side. Fullards was tailed off over fences last time but won off a mark of 103 over hurdles at Huntingdon last April so cannot be totally ruled out either, but the upgrader may be Bobsleigh and we shall side with him here.
