Verdict

More than four lengths separated Eclair De Guye and Who's In The Box behind Betty Baloo in amateurs’ race at Market Rasen earlier this month but the latter may get closer here. Daranova has only run once this year and may be warming up for a summer campaign so this can go to NORTHERN POET, who has taken well to fences and may yet have more to offer. The remainder have a bit to prove at present.
