In depth

Verdict

A chance here is given to King In Waiting to finally get off the mark. Last seen contesting the Brit Insurance Novice Hurdle at Cheltenham he has been catching the eye in some above average novice hurdles this season. A classy performer previously for John Oxx, two miles on staying ground appears exactly what he needs and while he has yet to transfer his potential to hurdles, we know it is there and he has been shaping promisingly. Compromiznotension has been disappointing on his last two runs after his earlier outings this season. His jumping was an issue over the course last time when he threw away any possible chance with a blunder at the last. He is good enough to win a novice hurdle but might find one or two too good. All For The Cause has a winners penalty to contend with but this will certainly be easier than his last outing in a competitive Sandown handicap. Sea Venture has failed to step up from his second behind Lease Lend over the course in November. A moderate bunch were behind him on that occasion but the winner has won since under a penalty. King In Waiting has a lot of potential and we take him to show that today.
