Verdict

Thebannerkingrebel had smart bumper form last season and quickly completed a double over hurdles at the start of the summer. He’s had a rest and may now be ready to continue his upward curve. Flat winner Multellie was a wide-margin winner at Carlisle but may have enjoyed a fitness advantage over most of his rivals. Armandihan was only third at Warwick after scoring at Sedgefield but Old Jeroboam maintained his unbeaten record at Worcester and may be one to follow. PROSCHEMA won on soft ground on the level and probably came up against a couple of decent novices on his hurdles bow at Chepstow. He was only beaten a length at the finish and there should be plenty more to come.
