      Verdict

      Shearling is penalised for a narrow victory over 1m6f at Warwick, where he stayed on to lead close home, so the shorter trip may not be in his favour. Passing Call should get closer as she started favourite that day and was always in the front rank but couldn't find a finishing burst. Sleeping Beauty belied her odds of 50/1 when runner-up to another outsider at Huntingdon and will have come on nicely for the experience but Lucy Wadham sends POTTERS SAPPHIRE up from Newmarket and the daughter of Aussie Rules is a half-sister to three winners, so she's given the vote to make a successful debut.
