    In depth

    Formwatch

Jungli (IRE) Has not been over a hurdle since April 1999. Very respectable chase form last season only beaten by very good horses, cannot be ignored on a return to hurdles and always runs well at this track.

Premier Generation (IRE) His best form 98/99, but has been running well since over hurdles and fences; not easily dismissed.

Deep Water (USA) Has not won over hurdles since Feb 2000 when beating Lord Lamb. Runs better on the softer ground, has not produced his best form of late and has not had a run since April.

Fiori Well beaten on soft ground over 3m at Market Rasen latest. Will prefer conditions and trip today but likely to find other better at these weights.

Telemoss (IRE) Back to back wins on soft ground latest. Has won easily and looks very progressive, will prefer this better ground but may need a bit further; one for the short list.

Christiansted (IRE) Won a 2m handicap at Musselburgh last June. Has not run over hurdles since July 1999, a very decent horse over hurdles in Spring 1999 with a rating of 120. If he retains this ability then could go close today.

Double Blade Has been keeping fit over the summer on the flat with some placed form. Four consecutive hurdle wins two years ago, which put him on a high mark when he went for handicap hurdles and failed to get his head in front; others preferred.

Supreme Fortune (IRE) Very in and out form which makes him difficult to assess. Despite winning first time out at Haydock in January on the soft, has been disappointing since.

Jocko Glasses Well beaten by Belle D'Anjou latest on his return since May. Best effort when beating Avalanche at Kempton in December; likely to find others better.

Chaos Theory Has been disappointing since January 2000; others preferred.

Mrs Jodi 4L beaten by Ingletonian at Kelso latest; has to find more to win today but should be in the frame.

Teme Valley Won at Catterick over 2m3f in January when just getting the better of Terdad. Ran here last time when well beaten; a trainer in form but may not be good enough.

Dominikus Comes off back to back wins at Hexham, but did not have to do much to win them. However looks progressive and if improving quick enough could be in the frame.
