In depth

Verdict

La Pantera Rosa is the selection with Falpiase and Easby Park likely to provide most problems of the opposition. The gelding ran a creditable enough race behind Little Lu over course-and-distance and while never looking likely to overhaul that smart prospect, he did enough to suggest that a race was within his compass. Falpiase would have a solid chance on his third to Brave Rebellion last year. He blew up at Aintree on his return from absence and the market is watched today. Easby Park already appears in need of a step up in trip having become outpaced on a couple of occasions over the minimum. Arctic Rock shaped with a degree of promise on hurdling debut having demonstrated earlier evidence of ability in bumpers. Lusento has to bounce back from a poor run latest. Miss Emperor went no further than the first on hurdling debut. La Pantera Rosa is the pick in a race that shouldn¿t take a lot of winning.
