In depth
Verdict
Dickie Lewis is preferred to fellow mudlarks Twotiming Gent and Avanti Tiger. Ginger McCain will doubtless have been boyed by a big pay day on Haydock but his string have been in fine form this season and there was nothing wrong with Dickie Lewis' victory at Uttoxeter. He has been put up 12lb for the win but that is perhaps fair as he had the race in the bag from some way out. Twotiming Gent seems to get on well with his amateur/owner rider. The pair won a race at Cartmel and her seven pound allowance may come in useful on today's sticky surface. Avanti Tiger is very much respected. He did not appear to act around Folkestone and may find today's circuit much more to his liking. Kings Square has form that is very in-and-out to say the least. Datbandito has been highly tried in the past but does have the assistance of an in-form pilot. A weak race that could go to Dickie Lewis.
