Verdict

THYNE FOR GOLD hasn't exactly been consistent but looked on good terms with himself at Uttoxeter a couple of weeks ago and, if in the same mood, would take some catching. Improved made a successful debut in a Uttoxeter bumper last summer but hasn't lived up to his name while Cleve Cottage couldn't handle the step up in class at Aintree in June. Charlie Wingnut, a dual winner between the flags, couldn't keep up the gallop over three miles at Carlisle but this is more his trip while the lightly-raced En Joule is better then she showed at Warwick last time where a first-flight error unsettled him.
