PLAYDATE began his handicap career off a mark of 80 which has proved far too high. He had dropped to a lowly 51 when runner-up to Redzer Gazgoff at Gowran last month and can run here from that mark. Appletreemagic has progressed nicely on polytrack and returned to action with an impressive victory over Send Me Home but she's 13lbs higher here and that looks harsh. Atlas Peak ran poorly over hurdles during the winter so it was a surprise to see him run well when third to Indian Wind at Dundalk and a bigger threat may emerge in the shape of Inishtearaght, who hasn't had much racing and made a promising reappearance behind Mrs Batt at Naas.
