In depth

Verdict

The Irritator has yet to win in 13 starts but couldn't have gone much closer over the track and trip earlier in the month where he may have won but for a last-flight mistake allowing Soul Season to catch him close home. The winner has had very little racing for his age and though slightly worse off at the weights can confirm the form. Sparkalark wasn't far behind though looks held but DRAKAINA came here on the same day and gained a surprise but comfortable victory. She'd shown nothing previously but that was her handicap debut and though 6lb higher is taken to complete a quick double. All In The Head won here last month on softer going than she'll face here but that was a step in the right direction and she can get involved.
