Verdict

LADY OF THE SEA won this last year and, though 7lb higher, has a claimer on board this time. She made a very promising reappearance over a trip much too short here three weeks ago and can take the race again. Eimear keeps finding one too good over this trip from the same mark but is likely to be thereabouts again but Officers Mess has only scored over 2m on soft ground. Gunfire Reef scored over fences at Punchestown in November and reverts to hurdles on a 16lb lower mark but Northern Emperor has never won in 32 starts.
