Verdict

This track frequently attracts decent hunter chases and Ollie Magern and Gwanako are the most famous names on show here. The former is now 14 years of age but it was only back in late 2010 that he was beaten eleven lengths by Nacarat in the Charlie Hall Chase. It would be lovely to see him back in the winner's enclosure and he was always at his best in the past when fresh but SERICINA is preferred with sentiment confined to the dustbin. Chloe Roddick's charge is a very useful pointer, comes here in good heart and was good enough to outpoint Heron's Well at Ffos Las a year ago. She may be a better price than her form would suggest due to the past reputation of her main rivals. Gwanako will go really close if anywhere near his previous best but this race will provide an indication of just what connections have to work with. Coombe Hill and Description are also respected.
