    Verdict

    Trolley Boy was a useful sort in bumpers and made a winning start over hurdles at Worcester in July but may struggle to give 6lb to HUGOS NEW HORSE. The Nicholls novice, a half-brother to two winners including the smart Black Corton, made a pleasing start over timber at Chepstow when second to another well-regarded newcomer with the pair pulling clear of their rivals. Ilanz will need to improve on his fourth at Stratford nine days ago.
