Verdict

Old stager Walter's Destiny was a wide margin winner over course and distance last time, but if Whitenzo is ever going to win another race then this must surely be it, and we take him to do so, while Even More and Prince Highlight may get involved at the business end. Most of these are fully exposed, including Whitenzo, but he has been plummeting through the ratings and starts here off a mark of 125 after a dismal effort last time. However, prior to that he went well here on his return from a long lay-off and he is clearly the class act in the race. His jumping can sometimes leave a bit to be desired, but he handles cut well and we are prepared to give him another chance to gain his first win in going on for three years. Walter's Destiny loves it here and if the selection fails to fire again, then he is likely to pick up the tab. He is due to go up 11lb for his 19 length win from Dear Deal on Boxing Day, so the time to catch him again looks like now of you are that way inclined, but he doesn't win too often either. Even More won a Taunton handicap in November but was caught up with by the handicapper last time, Dunster Castle needs faster ground, and Prince Highlight may be the best of the rest. He was travelling well when coming down in the race won by Walter's Destiny. However, Whitenzo is the class horse here and at these weights he can prove it.
