        A tricky puzzle to end the night and The Cottonwool Kid can only be a speculative selection. The step back in trip is in favour of the ten-year-old after he failed to get home last time. He has the right man on board if he is set his stall out at an early stage and he will not fail for the want of trying. Tasbok, Boss Royal and Dame Fonteyn are others to bear in mind for the shortlist.
