Verdict
David Pipe won this race last year and his PAINTER MAN arrives in good form having scored at Leicester last month. He's been raised 14lb for that comfortable success but is having only his sixth start over fences and is fancied to improve again. Frankie Figg has been below his best of late but has dropped back to a winning mark as a result, while Mount Oscar would be in the firing-line with a repeat of last February's second in the Racing Post Chase. Whinstone Boy and Carrickmines make most appeal of the remainder.
