Verdict

Gentleman Jon won this in 2015 and finished third a year ago. He's been racing at a high level subsequently and looks certain to get competitive again. Bishops Court began a winning run on Boxing Day and completed a four-timer before finding Class 2 company too hot at Sedgefield in March. He may just need this while Mille Nautique was beaten off this mark at a lower level at Huntingdon earlier this month. PLAY THE ACE (NAP) won a Stratford handicap at this level before a fine run in a Listed handicap at Market Rasen and looks well enough treated to return to winning ways. Dance Floor King was left well clear for an easy victory here in April and is closely tied in with Bishops Court on earlier course and distance form.
