Verdict

Barman managed to win four races in the summer of last year and looked on the way back when runner-up at Bangor though connections won't be happy with a 5lb rise. Lord Huntingdon landed a handicap on that latter track but was put in his place by East Indies at Plumpton though the winner had a bit of good fortune when his closest rival made a mess of the last. On Demand won a better race than this here in November but is 19lb higher so the vote goes to GARO DE JUILLEY. Paul Nicholls' charge, four times a winner on the Flat in France, looked a useful hurdler when scoring easily at Taunton but his jumping went to pieces on fast ground on a return visit so connections will be hoping for some rain.
