Verdict

Ladalko, Master Rex and Annie Greenlaw are the only three runners to go to post for this novices' chase and we will give the confident nomination to Ladalko. The selection was at one stage being talked about as a potential Arkle horse and he looks a cut above his rivals here. He was a beaten favourite last time when falling and if he gets a clear round he will be difficult to beat. Master Rex looks the danger as he won well when defeating Calvados at Exeter last time. He is upped in grade here but he won with such ease last time that he could be capable of going well here, although he is best on fast ground. Annie Greenlaw is the only other in the race and she looks out of her depth as she has been well beaten on both her runs to date, so for the winner we return to Ladalko.
