Verdict
Saint Romble, Penthouse Minstrel and Dalcassian Buck will dominate this small field handicap chase with the only other runner Santella Bay outclassed, and we will give our nomination to Penthouse Minstrel. The selection was tailed off in the Cathcart at Cheltenham last time but prior to that had been fair fourth on this track behind Jasmin Guichois. This looks a more suitable race and although he has never won over a trip this far before he is taken to score with conditions to suit. Saint Romble rates the main danger on his latest third behind Jaffa at Leicester but he continues to struggle with his jumping and at likely cramped odds is worth taking on. Dalcassion Buck would have a chance on his third in a class B race at this track behind Edredon Bleu when beaten just over 30 lengths. But he was brought down last time out and it is hard to know if his confidence has been affected, so the value in the race would appear to lie with our selection Penthouse Minstrel.
