In depth

Verdict

Sir Monty looks the pick in the tricky handicap, Farnborough and Scott appear to be very live dangers. The selection fulfilled earlier promise when comfortably beating Busaco on the turf at Lingfield. He is quite lightly raced compared to the others and is expected to progress further. Scott ran well behind Panzer at Newmarket last Saturday, and the fact he comes out again so soon suggests he is expected to go close. However a bigger threat to our choice could be Farnborough who has been in great form all season and put in another solid display when third behind Pleasant here last time. He may need to drop a couple of pounds before winning again but should still be involved in the finish. Best of the rest could be Kipsigis, but our idea of the winner is Sir Monty.
