In depth

Verdict

Equuleus Pictor finished just ahead of Seamus Shindig on his reappearance over C&D but has always been better over 5f. Desert Icon looks fairly treated but may need this, while recent Leicester winner Norville may struggle off a career-high mark and Collect Art has been put up a further 4lb since finishing second at Brighton. The handicapper may also have a grip on New Leyf and Taurus Twins, but Getcarter won over C&D last year and will appreciate the drop in distance and BATHWICK XAARA may be capable of further improvement this season. Jonny Portman's filly made giant strides in the autumn and isn't overtaxed on her reappearance.
