        Verdict

        ENGLAND RULES will have gone into a few notebooks following his staying-on fourth in the Wood Ditton at Newmarket and can improve sufficiently to open his account here. Whistle On By is more exposed but did nothing wrong when runner-up on the Polytrack last time while Hard Bargain went close on a couple of occasions last term and should stay the extra here. Adone may do better when tackling handicaps, however, while Norse Wing ran a shocker at Brighton in October following a promising debut over this trip at Bath and is probably best watched today.
