A cracking race in prospect that can go to Torosay Spring, who has plenty in her favour for this her reappearance run. She goes very well when fresh and she is just preferred to the three-year-olds, Ambonnay and Coquetry, with the back to form Budelli rated as the biggest danger amongst the older horses. The James Fanshawe-trained filly handled the course well enough on her only other appearance here and should make a bold bid from her high draw if the reports emanating from her stable about her well being are to be believed. Ambonnay has only raced three times to date and as such is still open to any amount of improvement. She ran too freely to do herself justice on her reappearance at Ripon in April, but the outing will have done her the world of good and a much better effort is anticipated this evening. The daughter of Ashkalani had Coquetry just over two lengths in her wake on her debut at Newbury last year, and with fitness on her side, she is taken to uphold that form. Budelli looks to have a stiff test today but is approaching a decent mark at present, and is one to monitor closely when he is back in handicap company. there is very little to split Jonny Ebenezer, Dancing Mystery and Marsad on this season's efforts. But the ground may just be too fast for them with the likes of Torosay Spring in the field.
