In depth
Verdict
A very competitive handicap that may fall to Fuel Cell, with Rosacara and Cornwallis put forward as the main dangers. Richard Hannon is double handed here and Fuel Cell, with Richard Hughes on board, looks the part. He has shown steady improvement in his four runs to date, culminating in a close up third to Allfridini at Salisbury last time. This isn't the strongest of events and with more improvement expected we can see Fuel Cell burning off this opposition. Rosacara made a very pleasing seasonal debut when chasing home College Maid at Ayr last month and looks certain to figure in the finish. Cornwallis comes here in great heart following a victory Bath, and a second placing behind Bridgewater Boys at Salisbury, he will be difficult to keep out of the frame. Of the others Kinbrace hails from a top yard and could be anything, but Fuel Cell is going the right way and gets our vote.
