Verdict
A wide open contest with Neckar Valley, Clarisse, Team Mate and Cill Droichead all holding sound claims, but we will take a chance on Clarisse. The selection ran well from a bad draw at Goodwood last time when fifth behind Tip The Dip. He has a good draw here and will be hard to beat with conditions in his favour. Neckar Valley rates the main danger as he was a good third in a class B handicap last time out behind Greta D'argent. But he gave the impression he would be suited by further so the step down in trip may not suit. Team Mate is also worthy of respect and finished a place in front of the selection last time out, but we take Clarisse to gain revenge with the Henry Candy horses in top form. Cill Droichead would have a chance on his best form but he is becoming disappointing, so we are happy to side with Clarisse.
