In depth

Verdict

Punta Galera is expected to improve on his debut effort and should go close here, however we will give the vote to the Godolphin newcomer Tufton, Gift Aid is another to watch out for in the betting. Tufton is a son of King's Best out of a Green Desert mare., making him related to the very smart Mujtahid. The boys in blue have been showing signs of a form revival and any market move would only add to the confidence. Gift Aid was a relatively cheap purchase but is very nicely bred and this yard does often come up with winning juvenile debutantes. Punta Galera showed plenty of promise in a hot Newbury maiden last time and along with Cape Diamond should improve to take a hand in the finish. This could turn out to be a pretty decent contest and Tufton may have enough class to land first prize.
