Verdict
Another wide open contest rounds off the card and many would have chances on their best form but the principals look to be Makabul, Blessed Place, Methaaly and Royal Orissa and the narrow vote is given to Makabul. The selection won well last time out when beating Polar Force and with the return to this longer trip sure to suit he looks the one to be on. Blessed Place rates the main danger as he also won well last time out when beating Monte Major but that horse has since let the form down and he looks vulnerable under his penalty. Methaaly is another that could go well on his latest second behind Bunelleschi but he has been done no favours by the draw. Royal Orissa was third behind Mambazo last time but this looks tougher. Of the remainder Joy And Pain is thrown in on his best form and could go well at a price but for the winner we return to Makabul.
