      Verdict

      Clarendon Cross is not improving while last month’s course and distance winner General Lee seems to prefer fast ground and he was behind Stay Coul on soft going at Sandown in May. Tricolore’s best form so far has come on Tapeta while Beautiful Crown has done his best work on Polytrack. TREGONY (NAP) easily completed a four-timer here last week and, in his current mood, it’s unlikely a 6lb penalty will halt his progress.
