    Verdict

SILENT ECHO makes a quick reappearance having found only the odds-on favourite Dreamfield too good at Ascot on Saturday. Peter Hedger’s charge is preferred on that form to Udontdodou, who has been winning on the all-weather since last successful on Turf back in 2016 and went close in a decent sprint at Kempton last time. This is easier than Cartographer’s recent tasks though she still looks a shade high in the weights while Open Wide was narrowly beaten here a week ago by Englishman, who coincidentally won this race last year. Course and distance winner Little Palaver is back on a winning mark though Super Julius has done all his winning so far over the minimum trip.
