Verdict
Hoh Nelson looks to have a tempting weight in this handicap and is chosen to beat Vantage and Anousa. Hughie Morrison's colt showed improved form after another winter on his back, when finishing a promising third behind Ashwaaq in a maiden at Ripon. The form has had mixed fortunes since, but generally it does appear quite solid. Further improvement can be expected and with just 8 stone 8 in the plate has been given a sporting chance. Top-weight is Anousa who although far from consistent, has strong claims on a recent victory over Gavroche at Kempton. Vantage landed a small race at Beverley before running with credit behind Swagger Stick in a valuable race at Leicester, he will be much more at home in this company. Of the others Tudor Bell, a recent winner at Hamilton shouldn't be underestimated, but for the winner we have to side with Hoh Nelson.
