Verdict
Michael Chapman's Siegfrieds Night is at least proven over this trip but it will be a surprise if there is not something that is better to beat him and we give our vote to Bakhtyar, who is preferred to Blue Hills. The last mentioned is trained by Mark Johnston, who has his string in good form at present. However, Blue Hills is related to some speedy sorts and may not appreciate the step up to middle distances. It would come as no surprise to see John Dunlop's Littlestar show improved form for tackling handicap company for the first time, especially over today's longer trip. Wilfred is an interesting runner for Jonjo O'Neill, while Frankie Dettori's mount Late Opposition and Richard Hannon's reappearing Bosco are others to consider but for the selection we take a chance with Bakhtyar. Roger Charlton's colt has yet to prove his effectiveness over 1m4f but, being by Daylami out of a Generous mare, there should be plenty to come over this trip and he looks to be feasibly well treated. Bakhtyar gets the vote.
