Verdict

Lady Isabel shaped with some promise on her handicap debut here over 1m2f. By Jove won here at at Salisbury earlier this summer and possibly found 1m6f too far last time. He has to go on the shortlist but the step up to this trip here last time clearly suited PRINCE ALEX and, though he only won by a head, Ralph Beckett’s gelding has the scope to shrug off a 5lb rise. Western Hero has been getting outpaced over shorter trips and is also worth a second look granted more of a stamina test.
