In depth

Verdict

The former Italy-trained Fattsota has been a little out of his depth and will appreciate the drop in grade. His recent run at Newmarket was a very good effort in strong comany and he must be a threat. Sandbanks Sizzler won an Epsom maiden by no less than 14 lengths after a very promising debut at Newmarket. The placed horses were well beaten subsequently but several of those further behind have been winning regularly so it was a strange race. LITTLE ROCKY has some excellent form to his credit including a narrow defeat by Sea Moon as a juvenile. He hasn't had much racing and showed on his comeback at Doncaster that he's ready to win again after last year's Hamilton victory. First Avenue is very consistent on the Flat and over hurdles and will be staying on when others have had enough but it's Mountain Range who may provide the main threat as he's won here in the past and was noted going on strongly when reappearing at Newmarket a fortnight ago.
