Verdict
The market should provide the best guide to this field of newcomers. Oisin Murphy has ridden the winner in two of the last three years and partners the speedily-bred Sir Arthur Dayne for Mick Channon. Knight Shield was a £140,000 yearling who is a half-brother to three winners and Shadow Glen was an early foal who is from a family that’s enjoyed some success. Richard Hannon’s filly Tiritomba cost 120,000gns as a foal but was sold for less than half of that earlier this year. IRISH ACCLAIM is a half-brother to the smart Wentworth and cost €105,000 so gets a tentative vote.
