Verdict

Lost Soldier Three looks set to follow up his impressive victory at Chepstow and can get the better of Reservoir and Gavroche. Luca Cumani's well bred gelding left his Newbury debut form well behind when slaughtering a field of maidens. The opposition may not have been too strong but the manor of that victory suggests he could be a very decent performer. However this field will be no pushovers. Gavroche comes here in great heart following victories at Doncaster and Goodwood, this represents a step up in class but he is progressing with each outing. Reservoir is another that has scope for further improvement following a comfortable success at Goodwood last time and should be vying for at least a place. Best of the remainder could be La Persiana, but Lost Soldier Three could be a star in the making and can land this valuable prize.
