Verdict
An interesting juvenile event to get proceedings under way, with Dontstopthemusic getting the call over China Eyes, Rainhill and Alchera. The selection is improving enough to warrant support, having just been touched off at Ripon last time. A 120,000gns yearling, she was thought good enough to make her debut at Ascot, and has bags of early speed. The penny should have dropped by now and she can open her account at the expense of China Eyes who is also going the right way. Barry Hills' filly was also just denied on her second start, at Warwick in June, having previously shaped well on her debut at Newbury. A half-sister to useful sprinter Pipalong, it is not hard to predict where her future lies. Richard Hannon is top trainer here so Rainhill should not be discounted-he was tenderly handled on his Salisbury introduction and more will be expected now. Kieren Fallon rides Alchera for Fulke Johnson-Houghton and maybe his stronger handling will see this son of Mind Games improve enough to take a hand in the finish. It should be an informative event and one in which Dontstopthemusic can come good.
