Verdict

The oft trotted diatribe of watch the market was never more apt and in the absence of it we select DANCOURT at the expense of Yellow Printer and Manero. Sir Michael Stoute's charge took part in what was likely to have been a decent maiden by Leicester standards. We will learn today whether that Derby entry was entirely fanciful or not. The Harry Findlay connection means that we'll be watching to see if the big man invests on Yellow Printer this afternoon. Manero is a close relation to Milk It Mick. He is not of that ability but ran adequately at Lingfield last time out without threatening to win. Jerrys Agent has already had the unkindest cut of all. Swiss Art has ran green on two starts to date. More Tea Vicar is related to winners over further so can be forgiven for needing this opening visit to the racecourse. New Beginning ran well from a good draw at Kempton and it appears that the gods have shone on her again from that perspective. Dancourt has his chance to prove classic credentials today.
