Verdict

PAO DE ACUCA is hard to oppose as he bids for a hat-trick on the back of a couple of wins in amateur races. Enthusiasm got the better of his jockey last time when ridden out for a massive 16-length victory but a 6lb penalty looks unlikely to anchor him in this. The remainder are the usual moderate bunch at this level with winning form hard to come by. Oakley Star and Henry Smith have both been placed at Chelmsford recently and the latter made the frame again when runner-up at Southwell while Eurato has tumbled down the weights and Ring Eye won off a higher mark last year.
