Verdict

Cactus Valley was an eye-catcher at Catterick on New Year's Day and may finally be getting the hang of jumping hurdles. He is not overburdened on his handicap debut while Pied Du Roi has the past form to figure. Scooby also gets a mention, along with Grandmaster George, but KILRONAN CASTLE has been dropped a couple of pounds since his latest fifth at Musselburgh and a return to this longer trip should see him in a better light – he gets a tentative vote.
