    Verdict

Swinton Diamond will need to be extra smart to make a winning debut over hurdles against two experienced and useful novices. Bridget Andrew claims 3lb off Dan Skelton's Irish import Swansea Mile, who has been placed twice in Listed company since arriving in the UK. But SHREWD has really come of age at Musselburgh since the turn of the year and Shane Shortall gave him a superb ride to get back to winning ways last time – a third victory in four starts could be on the cards.
