Verdict
Royal Crescent Canina and Cookie Cutter are three against the field in this desperate maiden and the narrow vote is given to Royal Crescent. The selection is a well bred type by Spectrum from a top yard and will not have to be anything special to win this. Canina rates the main danger on his latest second behind Foreplay but he has had plenty of chances and looks vulnerable to a less exposed type. Cookie Cutter was a fair second behind Cumminsky last time out. This looks easier and he has definite place claims . Of the remainder Sands Crooner is another with place claims but he has been tried over a variety of trips without success and in a race that throws up more questions than answers and where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Royal Crescent.
