Verdict

Bel Cantor is in cracking form and is still well handicapped if his turf form is anything to go by so he is taken to land this from Dickie Le Davoir, while there are others with a chance. The selection won an apprentice handicap by a length from Chatshow last time and has gone up 5lb, but is still the same amount below his highest winning turf mark, which came last autumn. As a c&d scorer he looks likely to go very well again. Dickie Le Davoir runs to a consistent level of form and won a claimer at Southwell in January before taking a similar event at Kempton last month. He cannot be ruled out with confidence from this mark. Chjimes has a strike rate of one from 21 so can't be trusted from a mark that has seen him beaten twice of late, Royal Challenge was unlucky last time and can finish closer, Million Per Cent is better over further, and the other pair struggle for consistency. No such trouble for Bel Cantor though, and he can score.
