In depth

Verdict

DOME ROCKET is given the narrow over Baron Otto and Abu Dubai. The selection was a little disappointing in a maiden at Goodwood last time but the yard do well with their all-weather runners and he did go close on his last appearance on the polytrack here last November. The stable are in fair form and he sets the standard for the others. Baron Otto is lightly-raced and he is making his all-weather debut here. He is upped in trip and he is also wearing blinkers for the first time and if they help to bring about some improvement then he could go well. Abu Dubai has shown her best form at this track but her last couple of runs have been disappointing and she has a bit to prove at present. The Mick Channon-trained Lily Blue should prove best of the others, but she has had plenty of chances and we will stick with Dome Rocket to open his account.
