        Verdict

        CAPTAIN DION did extremely well to score at Newcastle 12 days ago as he made all, something that has happened rarely there since the laying of the all-weather surface. Kevin Stott retains the ride and he should go close again despite a 5lb higher mark. He proved he stays this longer trip when runner-up at Newmarket last season on his first start after a gelding operation. Joey's Destiny's close second to Intransigent at Kempton last month brings him right into the mix off an unchanged mark, although his failure to win since the summer of 2014 is a slight negative. Nimr has definite claims for the Fahey yard as he has a course success to his name and further improvement is likely after just seven career starts, while George Cinq is a consistent sort at this level but much will depend on his readiness for action after a break dating back to last August.
