Verdict

BURNSIDE is turned out quickly after scoring at Lingfield on Friday and must go well but this represents a tougher assignment. He is lightly-raced to date, however, and could well have more to offer so is preferred to Blue Top, who ran really well here on his first Flat start since July when a close third to the progressive Start Seven. Come Back King has a definite chance as he's come up against some useful types on his four starts on an artificial surface. However, all four have been on the Fibresand and his effectiveness on Tapeta remains to be seen. Tartan Bute is a danger to all if his fitness can be assured on this first run since August as Mark Johnston's charge had some decent form last term - the market may help to signpost his readiness for action.
