      Verdict

      Al Kout is on a long losing run but has been generally performing with credit over 2m this year. Atalanta Breeze placed here last year and will strip fitter for a recent fourth at Leicester, though will have stamina to prove. CHIPIRON has a decent strike-rate and won over course and distance in July under Elle-May Croot, who takes off 7lb again. He could be the value against likely favourite Nadein, who didn’t beat much at Catterick but did run the subsequent Melrose winner Valley Forge to a neck earlier at Ffos Las.
