        Verdict

        Buz Kiri, The Last Mohican and Ipledgeallegiance are the principles in this Banded Stakes and we will give another chance to The Last Mohican. The selection has been knocking on the door for some time and has been placed on each of his last three starts. He was beaten by Buz Kiri at Lingfield but has since gone on to run well when a close second behind Reflex Blue on this track. Buz Kiri failed to sparkle on his only other try at this venue, so we give The Last Mohican the narrow vote, although there is likely to be little between them at the finish. Ipledgeallegiance was well beaten behind Coolfore Jade at Southwell last time and is more effective over shorter so is opposable. Magic Charm is the other to consider as he is a course and distance winner, but has been well out of form of late so will have to show a marked improvement here to trouble the principles. This is a race full of largely disappointing sorts, but The Last Mohican has been running well of late and is given the nomination.
